Free Planner Printables with special inserts for bloggers

When life gets hectic, it’s time to make a plan to keep everything organized. I’ve been looking at planners for a few weeks, trying to find one that suits my needs, but the prices were out of my price range. I don’t have room in my budget for a $50 planner that doesn’t even have the exact inserts that I am looking for. Personally, I would like a calendar along side a weekly planner and to-do lists, plus specific tracking tools for blogging. I found a used 6 ring planner that holds 5.5″ x 8.5″ sheets to make this happen, took out all the existing sheets and started from scratch. …

Christmas Star Table Runner (with printable pattern)

It’s almost Christmas in July!  Today I’m sharing this quick table runner I made last Christmas.  You’ll have plenty of time to whip one up as a gift before the season hits. This project was inspired by this sweet mitten, ice skate, and Christmas wreathe print.  I love Christmas, but I’m not very into the traditional red and green colour combination.  I love this print because the green is toned down to a pale hue.  I also found this adorable white-on-green snowflake print online that matched perfectly. The finished measurement is 12.5″ x 36.5″.  You can make this longer by creating additional blocks; adjust the materials accordingly. Supplies Focal fabric: 4…

Quilting Basics: HST and QST Printable Cutting Guide

Two building blocks of quilt patterns are the HST unit and the QST unit: the half square triangle and the quarter square triangle.  Once you have this skill in your arsenal, the world of quilting opens wide! The method I will show you in this tutorial will create two units at once rather than one at a time.  The process goes a lot faster with minimal extra steps, plus there’s less risk of the triangles getting stretched out due to bias cutting. Easy Strip and Block Throw Quilt Top

This simple throw quilt can be made easily using simple squares, rectangles, and strips sewn together into rows. I used pink fabric with vintage McCalls patterns printed on it and coordinated it with fabrics from my stash that matched. Here is the completed quilt alongside the template of the quilt layout I created in Word. The completed quilt will measure 32″x43.75″ if you follow the instructions to a tee.
